WHO WE ARE

Our story is rooted in a passion for travel and a deep connection to our homeland.

We are two sisters, Celine and Mirna. In 2003, our passion for travel was sparked by a transformative summer-long bus journey from Lebanon to France and back. During this adventure, we not only visited famous landmarks and capitals but also delved into lesser-known yet enriching destinations. This experience ignited a lifelong wanderlust. Over the years, our insatiable curiosity led us to plan trips and discover more than 25 countries (and counting)!

While living in Lebanon we were couch surfing hosts and Airbnb owners, always offering our alternative recommendations to visitors. We got to meet many curious travelers and we developed an understanding of Lebanon and its complex beauty. Celine, a designer by trade, created a studio and brand, Scene Beirut, celebrating Lebanese and Levantine Heritage.

Over the years, our bond with our Lebanese heritage grew stronger with a wish to protect it and talk about it, especially when we both ended up in 2019 as immigrants in the United State and Canada.

We encountered many 2nd and 3rd generations Lebanese immigrants, who expressed a longing to reconnect with Lebanon. We discovered that while the diaspora cherished their Lebanese identity, their understanding of Lebanon was sometimes limited to the information available online and on social media. There was so much of the vibrant country's culture, history, and untold stories that we wished we could share with them; something you can only do while in Lebanon.

Driven by a desire to bridge this gap and provide a gateway to the authentic Lebanon we know and love, we decided to embark on this new adventure, and that's how BeyRoutes was born.
